As 2026 started perfectly for us against Stalybridge Celtic, we continue on the road as we take on Shifnal Town. Both sides have a narrow turnaround from their games on New Year’s Day, the Shakers picking up a 6-2 win, whilst Shifnal Town fell to a 2-1 defeat against Darlaston Town, their first defeat in five games. We are delighted to confirm the signing of Lewis Rawsthorn from Radcliffe on a permanent deal, further strengthening our attacking options. Lewis joined Radcliffe in September 2023 from Atherton LR following an outstanding season in front of goal, scoring over 30 times in the North West Counties League. We start 2026 on the road as we take on Stalybridge Celtic at Bower Fold. This will be our fourth meeting with them this season, following encounters in the FA Cup (twice) and the league in quick succession back in August. Tim Lees brings his side into this fixture on the back of three consecutive wins, becoming the first Shakers manager since Lee Clark to boast a 100% record after three games in a full season.
