We are delighted to announce Brian Richardson has joined the club from FC United of Manchester. He joins the Shakers as Head of Recruitment, following the departure of Jimmy Holmes last week. The 73-year-old, Bury born, has been associated with FC United since 2019 where he’s held roles such as assistant manager, and more recently Director of Football for the men’s team. We can confirm the departure of forward Bryan Ly, who has joined Wythenshawe FC for an undisclosed fee. Bryan joined us last summer from the club he’s returning to. He made 49 appearances in a Shakers shirt, scoring 16 goals. His energy, determination, and professionalism quickly made him a favourite among teammates and supporters alike. An 89th-minute penalty save from Mitch Allen secured the win in a back and forth 3-2 victory for Bury over Curzon Ashton.
