Over the last few weeks, the club have been working with Greater Manchester Police (GMP) on identifying the individuals who firstly invaded the pitch after the equalising goal was scored, and secondly those who were shown to be fighting with each other and this was portrayed on social media during our Play-off Final at Ericstan Park in early May. We are now able to provide you with a further update, following our statements last month. As a club, we wish to again re-iterate that this beh

We have today (Tuesday) had further conversations with Greater Manchester Police, around crowd issues in the play off final at Ericstan Park on Saturday. The police will now be working through a process of identifying the people that encroached on the playing surface when we scored, and also the images on social media of fans fighting. As a club, we deplore this behaviour and as well as supporting the police, we will be issuing the most serious of sanctions. We will keep our suppo

Following discussions with AFC Liverpool ahead of our game next Saturday (9th November), the club can provide the following update: A request was made to us by AFC Liverpool on 22nd September to move this fixture to the Friday evening (8th) or to an early kick-off (12.30pm) on the originally scheduled date. The reasons given revolved around how a number of their club’s volunteers were due to steward Liverpool’s Premier League fixture against Aston Villa that same evening and consequently, A

We would like to thank Andy for his hard work and commitment to the club, the players, and it’s volunteers over the past three and a half years. Andy provided outstanding leadership throughout some difficult and turbulent times, not least during a global pandemic when just playing football was a challenge. In addition to winning a league title Andy quietly helped and supported many volunteers off

There was a short delay in the game restarting towards the end of the 90 minutes on Saturday due to three people attempting to enter the playing area. They were stopped from getting onto the pitch by stewards. Two of them did not co-operate and took some time to be restrained and removed. We have a number of eye witness statements, as well as video evidence, and are conducting our own investigation. We will act to protect the club and everyone working at the club from this behaviour. The club will not be hosting a fireworks display this year.   Over the summer we installed a new playing surface and a display of this nature would not be appropriate.   A number of supporters have enquired about this event over the past few weeks, with letting supporters know in advance then it helps to plan to attend other events.   We hope you can understand. Representatives of the club met with Ian Harrop on 15 February 2025 to discuss Ian’s ban from the hospitality areas of the stadium. In the interest of moving forward in a positive manner Ian was informed that he is now welcome to return to the hospitality areas of the stadium with immediate effect. During the meeting Ian expressed concern about comments made regarding him on the usual social media platforms. As a club we do not condone the abuse of any individual, be that a board member, emplo

Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful in our appeal to overturn the three point deduction, and £100 fine, for fielding an ineligible player at the start of the season. Glossop North End have also launched their own appeal and as a result we will replay the fixture at a future date to be confirmed, in addition to the three point deduction. The rules do not allow the three points we lose to be awarded to them, so this is their only opportunity to benefit from the situation. We do not inten
