There was a short delay in the game restarting towards the end of the 90 minutes on Saturday due to three people attempting to enter the playing area. They were stopped from getting onto the pitch by stewards. Two of them did not co-operate and took some time to be restrained and removed. We have a number of eye witness statements, as well as video evidence, and are conducting our own investigation. We will act to protect the club and everyone working at the club from this behaviour. The club will not be hosting a fireworks display this year.   Over the summer we installed a new playing surface and a display of this nature would not be appropriate.   A number of supporters have enquired about this event over the past few weeks, with letting supporters know in advance then it helps to plan to attend other events.   We hope you can understand. Representatives of the club met with Ian Harrop on 15 February 2025 to discuss Ian’s ban from the hospitality areas of the stadium. In the interest of moving forward in a positive manner Ian was informed that he is now welcome to return to the hospitality areas of the stadium with immediate effect. During the meeting Ian expressed concern about comments made regarding him on the usual social media platforms. As a club we do not condone the abuse of any individual, be that a board member, emplo

Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful in our appeal to overturn the three point deduction, and £100 fine, for fielding an ineligible player at the start of the season. Glossop North End have also launched their own appeal and as a result we will replay the fixture at a future date to be confirmed, in addition to the three point deduction. The rules do not allow the three points we lose to be awarded to them, so this is their only opportunity to benefit from the situation. We do not inten

Bury Football Club wishes to condemn some of the supporter behaviour at our Play-Off Final at Ericstan Park on Saturday afternoon. We are a community club, and some of the scenes experienced in both the stands and again unfortunately on the pitch, are not acceptable. It cannot be stressed enough that any poor behaviour reflects on the club in a negative way and has led to severe punishment already during the season. We are handing over the investigation of these matters to Greater

We can confirm that the FA have agreed to a stay of the sanction requiring us to close Gigg Lane to supporters whilst the appeal is heard. There will be no sanctions until the appeal process concludes. This means that our game against Wythenshawe will be open for supporters of both sides to attend. We are, however, mindful of the weather and potential for a postponement due to a frozen pitch so continue to advise supporters not to purchase tickets in advance at this stage purely for th

We wish to provide an update and inform all supporters following a review of volunteering practices within the club this week. Firstly, and understandably, the club has received a lot of feedback from supporters about the role of one of our volunteers John Raftery on Wednesday. We have been in regular contact with John since Wednesday, both offering apologies for the upset caused and working on the solution to move forward. A conversation was had between a member of the board and CEO N

Brand new for the 2024/25 season is our Legends Wall, on the walkway between the South Stand and Manchester Road End, but first, we need your help.   We have 60 spaces to fill with posters of Bury Legends from years gone by.   Recently we installed, two posters at the ground with the club crest and a ‘Welcome to Gigg Lane’ message.   The club would like to open this up for fan suggestions as to who they would like to see on the wall.   Once the players have be
