    We’d like to provide an update on our hospitality processes. A number of supporters have attempted to buy hospitality tickets after the catering deadlines. Our deadline for Saturday matches is Wednesday at 12 noon, and for Tuesday matches, it is Saturday at 12 noon. It’s important for us to stick to these deadlines so our caterers can prepare the correct amount of food, avoiding excess waste.     Everyone at Bury Football Club was saddened to hear of the passing of former Shaker Hughen Riley, after battling Leukaemia in recent years.   Hughen was a Lancashire lad, born in Accrington, but he started his professional career with Rochdale, appearing in Dale’s first team for five seasons, amassing 114 league and cup appearances.  He then spent four years with Crewe Alexandra, adding another 131 games before transferring to Gigg Lane for a fee of £4,000 on 1 December 1974 at the age of 25.

    Bury Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of exciting winger Abimbola Obasoto.   The 21-year-old joins the club ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup tie against Uttoxeter Town.   Known as Abs, he started his playing career in Ireland before moving with his family to the UK, he played alongside his younger brother Abiola at Morecambe as a youth team player.   Abimbola Obasoto with Bury FC manager Andy Welsh   He signed for Bury AFC under Andy Welsh in July

The 25-year-old striker will join the club from NWCFL Division One North side Steeton where he scored 35 goals last season. The 29-year-old has a wealth of experience to bring to Andy Welsh’s squad and can play in an array of positions including central-midfield as well as left-back/left-midfield.  Kellett will join the Shakers following three years playing for Guiseley.
