We are happy to announce the Lewis Gilboy has extended his stay with the Shakers putting pen to paper for the coming season.   The 23-year-old joined the club in August 2020 after being released by Accrington Stanley.   He also had non-league experience before coming to join Andy Welsh’s team after playing 10 games for City of Liverpool just before the pandemic in March 2020.   Lewis had the most goal contributions last season, with 32. The FA have given notice today, that Bury FC will compete in both the FA Cup & FA Vase during the 2023/24 season.   As a two-time FA Cup winning club in 1900 & 1903, we will enter the competition at the Extra Preliminary Round stage on Saturday 5th August.   The draw for which will be announced next Friday (7th July).   The FA Vase is the competition played between all the teams at Step 5 and Step 6 of the National League System. The competitive season is finally here! We welcome South Liverpool to Gigg Lane for our Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie. We had an outstanding run in the competition last season, reaching the Fourth Qualifying Round – before losing narrowly to Harborough Town. Our pre-season has been solid, rounding it off with a 3-1 victory against Wigan on Tuesday night. All about taking that momentum into the competitive action. Following yesterday’s terrific 3-0 win away at Blyth Spartans in the Second Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup, we will be entered into tomorrow’s (Monday 16th) draw for the next round. The draw is completed by 1pm and we will have this with you as soon as we have it. We can confirm match arrangements for Saturday’s FA Vase tie against Chadderton.   Supporters are now able to purchase general admission tickets for the South Stand.   The Main Stand will be closed to fans for this fixture.   Our Eyelevel Sponsors Lounge package is available at half-price for £34 (inc. Our second family fun day will be taking place at Gigg Lane on Saturday 21st June with gates opening at 10am. There will be added attractions this year, both on the pitch, car park and main stand. Our NWCFL Premier Division Champions will be opening up proceedings on the pitch at 10am, holding an opening training session, with familiar faces and a few new ones. The session will conclude at 12 noon the squad will be mingling around the activities. Following on the pitch will be a charity match
