After two weeks of cup football, that saw us exit the FA vase after a tough battle with Whickham in the North East and progress in the Macron Cup following penalty shootout heroics from goalkeeping coach and reserve keeper Sam Ashton, we return to NWCFL premier league action this Saturday as we face Skelmersdale United away at The Community Ground in Burscough. We return to league action tomorrow evening, with the visit of South Liverpool to Gigg Lane.   Dave McNabb’s side made it 10 games unbeaten in all competitions, with a 2-0 win away at Garforth Town, booking in our place in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup. The manager-less Shakers head over to the seaside this mid-week in the North West Counties Football League Premier Division to take on Squires Gate at the Brian Addison Stadium, kick-off is 7.45pm. We return to Gigg Lane for our second league game in three days, as we host Squires Gate in the NWCFL.
