Bury FC is inviting junior football teams and school teams to be flag-bearers or mascots at our men’s and women’s home games at the historic Gigg Lane stadium! This is a fantastic opportunity for young fans to get right to the heart of the action, experience the buzz of matchday and be part of the Bury FC family. Walk out with the teams or form a flag-bearing guard of honour Enjoy the full matchday experience FREE entry for all mascots and flag-bearers! (All children under 13 must be accompanied by a full-paying adult) Priority will be given to teams and schools who haven’t yet taken part over the past year, so don’t miss your chance to get involved! About Us Bury Football Club Community Trust is the charitable arm of Bury FC. Our mission is to use the power of football and community engagement to inspire, support, and empower people across Bury and beyond. We work in schools, with community groups, health organisations and local authorities to deliver projects that improve lives. About the Role As a Trustee, you will: Contribute to the strategic vision and governance of the Trust Provide advice, challenge and oversight to ensure strong and effective decision-making Use your professional expertise to support key areas of our work Act as an ambassador for the Trust within your networks and the wider community We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about community development, social impact and the power of sport. Skills and Attributes We are particularly looking for candidates who have: Professional expertise in football, legal, finance, education, health or local government A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion Strong communication and teamworking skills A passion for Bury and its wider community Expectations The voluntary role requires attendance at quarterly Board meetings (evening, in-person or virtual), occasional Trust events and participation in Trustee discussions throughout the year.
