  3. The Swan & Cemetery is a brilliant spot if you’re after great food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen really champions local produce, with a menu that changes with the seasons and celebrates the North West’s culinary roots. You’ll find everything from proper hearty classics to more creative, modern dishes—all made with a real passion for good food. The bar’s just as impressive, with a handpicked selection of wines, draught beers, and signature spritzes that suit any occasion. And when the sun’s out, the beer garden is the place to be—perfect for relaxed get-togethers and outdoor dining. What’s really nice about the place is how it mixes tradition with a fresh, modern feel. It’s familiar and comforting, but still feels exciting and new every time you visit. 26. Bury Football Club can confirm that the Under-23s team will no longer operate as part of the club’s immediate structure. This decision comes as we embark on a comprehensive revamp of our player development pathway. This strategic move will allow us to focus our resources on creating a more effective and sustainable model for nurturing young talent, with a clearer route from youth football into the first team. The club remains fully committed to the development of young players and will provide further details on our revised structure in due course. We would like to offer our sincere thanks to the managers Leon and Sas, all coaches, players and backroom staff, particularly Tina, who have contributed to the U23s setup over the last 2 seasons for their hard work and dedication. Further updates will be shared as our new development pathway takes shape. View the full article
