We are pleased to announce Leon Mike and Stephen ‘Sas’ Sheil as joint managers of the newly formed U23 team who will play in the Lancashire Football League West Division this season.
Joint Manager – Leon Mike
Leon (pictured right), 41, has had a career in football, playing both at professional level and non-league, before moving into coaching. Sas, 42, was a teammate of Leon at Mossley AFC in the mid-2000s and has a proven track record of success managing junior teams and development squads.
Together they bring a wealth of experience in local football and were selected from a highly qualified and experienced list of applicants for the position.
We are delighted to welcome them to the club as they build a playing squad for the season ahead and the first game next month. Games will be played on weekday evenings (typically kicking off at 7.45pm). Home games will be played at the all-weather facility at the Manchester College (Openshaw Campus) and our preferred evening for home games is Monday.
