Bury Football Club is proud to announce a new commercial partnership with fellow Bury-based brand JD, as the Club celebrates a triumphant end to the 2024/25 season and looks ahead to a bright future.
This partnership comes at a momentous time for the Club, who were recently crowned champions of the North West Counties Football League Premier Division – marking a significant milestone in their journey back from adversity, just six years after being removed from the English Football League in 2019.
A league record-breaking 8,719 fans packed into Gigg Lane for the final game of the season, demonstrating the extraordinary support and loyalty of the Bury FC faithful. The Club’s resurgence has reignited pride across the town, with this new partnership further cementing the role of football at the heart of the local community.
JD, a globally recognised leader in sports fashion retail, shares deep roots with the town of Bury and has a long-standing history of supporting the football club.
Speaking on the new partnership, Bury FC, Head of Commercial Chris Watts said:
“We’re delighted to be teaming up with JD – a company that, like us, is proudly Bury through and through. This partnership is not only a commercial step forward, but a powerful symbol of what we can achieve when our community comes together. Our journey is far from over, but with support like this, the future is incredibly bright.”
Abi Haywood, Sports Partnership Manager at JD added:
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Bury FC, a club that sits at the heart of our community. As a company founded in Bury, this partnership means a lot to us. It’s about more than football – it’s about giving back to the town that helped shape who we are. We’re proud to support Bury FC and to play a part in the club’s future, both on and off the pitch.”
As Bury FC continues its mission to climb back up the football pyramid, the Club remains deeply committed to regaining its place at the heart of the community. With the support of local businesses, lifelong fans, and a town full of pride, Bury FC is building a future worthy of its historic name.
