Bury FC is proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement for Casey Lynchey, Head of Community and Women’s Football, who was selected as a prize winner through the FA Reward and Recognition Scheme.
As part of the award, Casey was given the opportunity to play on the pitch at Wembley Stadium and to nominate a fellow coach to share the experience. With more than 75 coaches across the club, Casey faced a difficult decision and ultimately selected Carla Jenkinson, Comets Coach, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the Comets programme.
Speaking about the experience, Casey said:
“Being selected for the FA Reward and Recognition Scheme and given the opportunity to play at Wembley was a real honour. Choosing just one coach to share it with was extremely difficult given the amazing work all our coaches do. Carla’s commitment to our Comets programme has been outstanding, and she truly deserves this recognition for the positive impact she has on our players and the wider community.”
The FA Reward and Recognition Scheme celebrates individuals who go above and beyond to support grassroots football, and this experience is a fitting reward for the commitment and impact shown by both Casey and Carla.
