We are delighted to announce that we will be bringing the prestigious ‘Manchester Remembers’ charity football match and fundraising day to Gigg Lane this year for the very first time.

Established by Aaron Lee & Paul Corrigan, in 2020, the successful event has raised over £100,000 for a number of charities linked to the Manchester Arena attack in 2017.

Previously hosted by Manchester City FC and Oldham Athletic, we are extremely pleased to be holding this year’s event at Gigg Lane, the home of Bury Football Club and we are working in collaboration with Aaron, Paul and Bury Council to make it happen.

Manchester Remembers will be held on June 14th 2025, with Sam Allardyce and Peter Reid will again be managing this years ‘Legends’ and ‘Celebrity’ teams respectively and already they have some big names who will be in attendance on the day, with more details and ticketing information coming very soon.

Bury FC Head of Operations, Casey Lynchey said: “We have been in conversation with Aaron & Paul for some time and have recently managed to pull everything together to enable us to host the event at Gigg Lane this summer.

“Their story is compelling and the relentless work they have done to raise so much for the various charities is remarkable. We couldn’t be prouder at Bury FC to be bringing the event to the town and along with the support of our staff and volunteer team and Bury Council, we’ll work hard behind the scenes to make sure it is a success and can raise as much as possible for such an important cause.”
