Bury Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of forward Tom Carr from Chorley FC.
Carr played a pivotal role in Leek Town’s Northern Premier League West title-winning campaign in 2023/24, with 20 goal involvements before hitting double figures in his debut National League North season with The Magpies in 24/25.
Tom adds energy and a proven attacking threat to the squad as we approach the final 6 games of the season.
On the signing of Carr, First Team Manager Anthony Johnson said: “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Tom to Bury FC. He’s a player that has tormented me over the last couple of seasons whilst at Chorley, so I’m well aware of the qualities he brings to Gigg Lane.
Once we knew he was available to bring in this week, it made perfect sense to do it now rather than get into a big game of tug-of-war in the summer with National League clubs all enquiring about him.
He will fit perfectly into our system and will work really well with the other forwards we have in the squad. It’s a real coup for us to bring in a National League North striker of his calibre to the club”.
Tom joins the Shakers having made 35 appearances for Chorley this season and is available for selection this weekend as we travel to Runcorn Linnets in a huge clash at the top of the Norther Premier League West. Join us in giving Tom a huge Shakers welcome!
