At Bury FC Women, we are so much more than a football club. We are a community of women who support one another through life’s challenges and celebrate each other’s successes. We are an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on, and, above all, a safe and welcoming space for everyone. We have 15 teams from elite football to walking football with players aged from 16 to 67, proving football is for all. Together, we help women build confidence, improve wellbeing, form lasting friendships, and rediscover a sense of self. No one should have to face difficult times alone.
Research shows that incidents of domestic abuse can increase during major international football tournaments. If you or someone you know needs support, please remember that help is available and there is always someone ready to listen.
Bury FC Community Sports Trust, in conjunction with Bury FC Women, is launching brand-new, free football sessions for women seeking a supportive and safe environment, delivered by female coaches. Funded by The Access Foundation to coincide with the World Cup, the fun and fitness based sessions will take place at Gigg Lane starting on Friday 3rd July. No experience is necessary – we cater for all levels.
