We are thrilled to announce the signing of experienced defender Scott Duxbury, who joins the Shakers as the first addition of the summer.
A versatile and accomplished left-back who can also operate at centre-back, brings a decade of non-league experience and a winning pedigree to Gigg Lane.
The 30-year-old joins the Shakers after two seasons with Radcliffe, where he made 50 appearances last season, including 42 starts.
Duxbury is no stranger to success – he was part of the Stockport County side that secured the National League North title and has featured for a number of clubs including Warrington Rylands, Spennymoor Town, Boston United, AFC Fylde, Chorley and Northwich Victoria.
His arrival signals a statement of intent from the club, adding quality and leadership to the squad ahead of the upcoming season.
On joining the Shakers, Scott said:
“I’m absolutely buzzing to sign for Bury Football Club! It’s a massive opportunity, and I’m so grateful to be part of this journey. I can’t wait to get started, meet the fans, and give everything for this club!”
Manager, Dave McNabb added:
“Scott is a player I’ve watched a lot over the years and someone who has always impressed.
Scott has spent most of his career playing higher up the non-league pyramid and will bring a lot of experience and steel to the group. He’s an accomplished defender with an elite mentality.”
Everyone at Bury FC extends a warm welcome to Scott and looks forward to seeing him in action in the famous white and blue.
New signings are brought to you in association with club partner S&S Northern.
