We are delighted to announce the additions of Brazilian shot stopper Andre Mendes and experienced defender Joe Maguire.

The Portuguese shot-stopper spent time on loan at NPL West side Colne before playing 10 games at the end of last season for Ashton United and has appeared 33 times for the Dolly Blues this term.
Born in Brazil, Andre moved to Portugal aged six and was part of the Benfica Academy before moving to England aged 13.
We asked Dave McNabb about his new signing and he said:
“Andre is a young goalkeeper with a fantastic pedigree having previously played at SL Benfica, Morecambe and most recently at Lancaster City. Andre with provide competition in the goalkeeping department as we head into the final few weeks of the season”
Joe Maguire
We are pleased to announce the signing of defender Joe Maguire.
The left sided defender, who was most recently at Tranmere started his career at Liverpool and has also played for Fleetwood, Crawley Town and Accrington Stanley.
Speaking about his new recruit, manager Dave McNabb said the following:
“Joe is a player I’ve tried to sign a couple of times previously. He has an outstanding pedigree having played for Liverpool first team, Fleetwood, Accrington Stanley and Tranmere Rovers. A very experienced defender who can play centre back or at left back.”
Please make sure you give them a proper Bury welcome and get behind Dave and the team as we continue our promotion charge. Both signings are subject to league approval.
