Bury Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of exciting winger Abimbola Obasoto.

 

The 21-year-old joins the club ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup tie against Uttoxeter Town.

 

Known as Abs, he started his playing career in Ireland before moving with his family to the UK, he played alongside his younger brother Abiola at Morecambe as a youth team player.

He signed for Bury AFC under Andy Welsh in July 2021, making 40 appearances scoring 13 goals and 11 assists.

 

Last summer he signed for Macclesfield, before joining Clitheroe in January of this year, where he made 14 appearances and scored three goals.

 

Upon signing for the club, Obasoto said: “I’m over the moon to sign for this historic club with such amazing fans. I’m looking forward to playing at Gigg Lane and helping the team as much as I can.”
