  • Incoming: Billy Reeves & Tom Moore

Bury Football Club can announce the arrival of a further two additions, as midfielder Billy Reeves and defender Tom Moore joined this week following their free transfer from Bootle.

Both players joined McNabb at Bootle in the summer, alongside other new players Andy Scarisbrick and Charlie Doyle, and bring in significant experience from their time in the Northern Premier League.

Reeves, 26, was in the Port Vale academy structure as a youth, playing for Witton Albion, Hyde United and Stafford Rangers in separate spells on loan before being released at Vale Park. Continuing in non-league, the energetic midfielder found a home at Leek Town from 2018, playing over 130 times over a five-year period before making the move to Bootle this year.

24-year-old Tom Moore arrives to bolster central defence. Previously playing for Marine, Droylsden and Widnes – Tom joined Connah’s Quay Nomads in 2021, scoring in a UEFA Conference League qualifying round whilst with the Nomads. Spending last season at Runcorn Linnets, he joined McNabb at New Bucks Park in July – featuring consistently so far this season.

The manager gave buryfc.co.uk his thoughts on the latest additions:

“I’m really pleased to get Tom and Billy in. I’ve worked with both players before and they both know and understand the standards and expectations that are required.

“I feel that both Tom and Billy will really add to the group and are both still capable of improving and I believe they will grow with the club.”

Both Billy and Tom go into contention for the weekend, as we head to Chadderton. To get your tickets and join us on the road, head to Chadderton website HERE.
