We are excited to announce the signing of Lewis Earl from National League North side Marine.
The 6ft 1’ centre half, who is also comfortable playing in the holding midfield role has committed to Dave McNabb’s Shakers for the 2024/25 season.
Lewis started his career at EFL Championship side Preston North End, before departing in the summer of 2020.
He moved on to Stockport County – spending the 2021/22 campaign on loan at AFC Telford United, Warrington Rylands and then Hyde United.
Lewis then moved on to Chester but a serious injury curtailed a large proportion of his first season there, however he impressed in his nine appearances for the club at the back end of the season and his contract was extended.
Following a short loan stint at Bootle, Lewis then moved to Marine.
Dave McNabb had the following to say on is new recruit:
“Lewis is an outstanding footballer who is capable of playing centre half or in midfield. So composed on the ball he builds the game and constantly looks to play forward passes.
Big, strong and very mobile with really strong defensive instincts. Lewis is technically excellent and a great lad too”
Welcome to Bury, Lewis.
