Bury are delighted to confirm the signing of defender Luis Morrison ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The 28-year-old joins the Shakers from Northern Premier League side Stafford Rangers, where he made 23 appearances last season.
Morrison started out in Arsenal’s youth system before a spell at Stevenage under Graham Westley. He then played in Swedish Championship for Umea & Finnish Second Division for FC YPA.
In 2015, he appeared in the first season of Love Island, before returning to UK football playing for Concord Rangers. He moved north a year later signing for Altrincham.
Luis has also played for Radcliffe & Macclesfield before playing for Stafford Rangers last season.
Upon signing for the club, Morrison said: “I loved the project at bury & wanted to be a part of the journey at Gigg Lane. It was a no-brainer for me to take up the opportunity & after a talk with the gaffer, I knew that this is the place I wanted to be.
“I did have offers from clubs higher up in the pyramid, but I knew that I wanted to be on the journey with Bury and hopefully achieve what everyone wants to achieve at the club this year.”
Our latest addition celebrates his 29th birthday tomorrow. Happy birthday, Luis!
