We are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Tom Stewart from Lancaster City.
The 28-year-old has turned out for a plethora of great clubs since he started his football career over 10 years ago including Ramsbottom united, Stalybridge Celtic and our nearby neighbours Radcliffe FC.
Tom also featured once for Bury AFC as emergency cover in the first league fixture of the 21/22 campaign.
It will be Tom’s first season playing in the NWCFL and he is an exciting player to have between the sticks.
We asked Dave McNabb about his new number one:
“Tom is an imposing goalkeeper at 6’5, he has unbelievable reactions for his size and is a fantastic shot stopper.
Quick off his line and comfortable sweeping the back line. Very commanding and will always help his defence by claiming crosses into the box whether from open play or set pieces.”
Welcome to Bury, Tom!
