Bury Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of central midfielder Louis White, who joins the club from Ashton United.
A dynamic and determined presence, Louis brings energy, quality, and a real hunger to make an impact in the final 6 games of the season.
The midfielder started his career in the Rochdale academy and featured for Hyde United, Wythenshawe Amateurs and Glossop North End before joining Halifax Town in 2023.
White then moved to Marine in 2024, helping The Mariners to promotion to the National League North, before joining Ashton United.
Having impressed with his performances at Ashton, we’re excited to see him take the next step in his journey with the Shakers.
On the signing of White, Shakers boss Anthony Johnson said, “Louis is a player I’ve admired over the last few years. Even as a young player at Glossop he was dominating at this level and was someone I was aware of. He was instrumental in Marine’s rise to the National League North, and again, we looked at signing him but missed out.
It’s crazy to think he’s still only 25, and at 25 he’s not even hit the peak of his career. A powerful, athletic midfielder, and a left foot that gives us balance in midfield areas, especially since Leo was recalled. With Bobby out injured, signing Louis gives us a big boost going into the last few games of the season and beyond.”
Welcome to Bury, Louis!
