After a disappointing 1-0 loss mid-week to Stockton Town, we stay on the road as we make the trip to Alfreton Town.
Our first defeat in seven came in late fashion, with Anthony Johnson’s men hoping to regroup ahead of our 194-mile round trip.
We resume sitting 10th in the table, with the opposition sit two points ahead in 8th having played two more games than the Shakers.
In Opposition – Alfreton Town
Alfreton Town were formed in 1959 following a merger between Alfreton Miners Welfare and Alfreton United Football Clubs.
Despite not picking any silverware up, the side ushered in their most successful season in 2008/09, reaching the FA cup second round proper and narrowly missing out on promotion.
The 2022/23 season saw Alfreton reach the playoffs of the National League North, where they were beaten by Kidderminster Harriers.
The club announced new ownership in the 2025/26 season, with Will Rush taking over from Wayne Bradley, who was chairman from 1997.
