Two away trips for the Shakers this week start with a visit to the West Midlands, as we take on Darlaston Town for the first time in our history.
Saturday saw a rare home defeat against Lower Breck, only our fourth league loss at Gigg Lane since Dave McNabb was appointed in September 2023.
It’s only the third league game where the Shakers have failed to score this season.
We remain fourth in the table going into Wednesday’s fixture.
In Opposition – Darlaston Town
Darlaston were promoted to Step 4, after a play-off final win against Lichfield City at the end of the 2023/24 season.
They moved laterally over the summer from the NPL Midlands Division, where they finished 7th last season.
20th is their current position in the league table, having won three from 17 this season.

Travel Information: From M6 Junction 10 exit onto Black Country Route. (first exit from South, third exit from North). After approx. 400 meters take second exit off Black Country Route and at top of slip road at the traffic island take first exit turning left. After approximately 50 meters take the first exit at the traffic island, (turning left) and ground is approximately 75 meters past the Premier Inn on your right hand side.
