We head into the FA Cup once again this weekend as we face NPL East side Garforth Town in the First Qualifying Round.
Dave McNabb’s side come into the game off the back of Bank Holiday Monday’s 3-0 win against Cheadle Town. Alex Cherera picked up a brace and Ruben Jerome also bagged a goal.
Bury currently sit in 5th place, five points behind league leaders Ramsbottom, but we have played two fewer games than our neighbours.
In Opposition – Garforth Town
Garforth Town are unbeaten so far this season, having won four from their opening seven games, drawing the other three.
It’s 6 years since our hosts were last in the First Qualifying Round, when they saw defeat away at South Shields.
On two occasions, they’ve progressed passed this stage, but have fallen in the next round against Guiseley in 08/09 & Blyth in 97/98.
