LITHERLAND-HOME-HGT-MATCH-GRAPHIC-821x10

After seven successive wins, we’re determined to turn the tables on a team who stunned us on the road two months ago. We did it to West Didsbury and Chorlton and to Lower Breck, and now it’s REMYCA’s turn.

Another week without a midweek game has given us good preparation time and the lads will be chomping at the bit to get out in front of the Gigg Lane faithful and set the record straight but this doesn’t mean we will be taking our opponents lightly as we very well know, there are no easy games or walkovers in the North West Counties Premier League.

Our game this weekend is dedicated to Her Game Too. Founded in 2021 Her Game Too is an award-winning campaign tackling sexism in sport, including football, rugby, cricket and ice hockey.

Shakers fans, get down to Gigg Lane and show them and REMY what we can do. Come on you Shakers!!!

In Opposition – Litherland REMYCA

Our 21-game unbeaten run had already been ended by Lower Breck when we faced Litherland in dreadful conditions back in early December.

It was the second of three successive away matches, and we’d won at Burscough four days earlier. So beating us 3-1 at the Litherland Sports Park gave REMY a massive boost. They had a good game plan and stuck to it.

The Liverpool outfit are currently 19th in the league with 41 points from 37 matches – well clear of the relegation places, but below where they would wish to be. They come into this game boosted by last weekend’s 4-1 home win against Charnock Richard – only their second three-pointer in six matches.
