After our stunning fightback against Stafford Rangers, we travel to Runcorn Linnets for a replay of the game which had to be abandoned at half-time with the score at 1-1.
Our last-gasp league victory at the weekend was the third in succession and took us to third place in the table, with 14 points from seven matches.
It really was a great squad performance, with two of our three goals coming from Gabriel Johnson and Rustam Stepans just minutes after they’d come on as substitutes.
That performance suggests we’re now hitting the kind of form which will keep us in the top five.
If we win at Runcorn Linnets on Tuesday night, we’ll face NPL side Morpeth Town at home in the third qualifying round on Tuesday instead of Trafford in the league.
In Opposition – Runcorn Linnets

Runcorn are one of the strongest teams in the NPLW and, like us, have high hopes of promotion. They’re currently 11th in the table, but have played only six games.
Their only defeat this season was at Gigg Lane three weeks ago, when we dominated but managed to score only a single goal.
All the more reason to get along to the Apec Taxis Stadium and cheer on the lads.
