We’re back to league action under the lights at Gigg Lane after Saturday’s encouraging Isuzu FA Trophy 3-1 victory over Wythenshawe Town.
This was a good result against another team from the same league as ourselves – albeit below us in a table which at the moment is rather meaningless.
We can expect the Linnets to provide a much tougher test. They are in fifth place with eight points from four games and still in the FA Cup.
We currently lie in 18th place, having won one game, drawn two and lost one. Saturday’s result will hopefully get the pendulim swinging in the right direction and we can kick on and start to climb the table! But, as always, we can’t do it without your help!
So get down to Gigg and get behind the lads. Up the Shakers!!
In Opposition – Runcorn Linnets

The Yellows have done well in the league in recent seasons, reaching the play-offs in three out of the last four and last term winning the Cheshire Senior Cup.
It’s only 19 years since the club took its present form – similar to ours – when supporters of a former amateur club got together to launch a semi-professional team.

Our Matchday @ Gigg guide is available to read to find out everything you need to know going on in and around the ground.
