As 2026 started perfectly for us against Stalybridge Celtic, we continue on the road as we take on Shifnal Town.
Both sides have a narrow turnaround from their games on New Year’s Day, the Shakers picking up a 6-2 win, whilst Shifnal Town fell to a 2-1 defeat against Darlaston Town, their first defeat in five games.
In the reverse fixture back in September, we picked up a 3-0 victory with second-half goals from DJ Pedro, Rustam Stepans & Tyler James.
This game was originally scheduled for Saturday 6th December but was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at the Acoustafoam Stadium.
In Opposition – Shifnal Town
Shifnal is a Shropshire town about 4 miles east of Telford, and they are also in their debut season in the Northern Premier League after promotion from the Midland League at the end of last season.
Our opponents sit two places below us in the league table, four points behind and share a fairly similar record for the season overall.
