Match Info: Stalybridge Celtic (A), Thu 1st Jan, 3pm KO

image-2-819x1024.png

We start 2026 on the road as we take on Stalybridge Celtic at Bower Fold. This will be our fourth meeting with them this season, following encounters in the FA Cup (twice) and the league in quick succession back in August.

Tim Lees brings his side into this fixture on the back of three consecutive wins, becoming the first Shakers manager since Lee Clark to boast a 100% record after three games in a full season.

Boxing Day saw a 2–0 victory over Clitheroe, courtesy of goals from Rustam Stepans and Wigan loanee Leo Graham, whose loan deal has been extended into the first month of the new calendar year.

An attendance of 5,337 was the eighth-highest of all time in the Northern Premier League, and just the third since the turn of the millennium to surpass the 5,000 mark.
