Bury Football Club are delighted to confirm manager David McNabb’s first signings.
McNabb has added to his squad ahead of this afternoon’s fixture with Glossop North End.
Attacking midfielder, Andy Scarisbrick has joined the club from Bootle.
The 25-year-old has played under McNabb for the last five years, the main period of that being at Warrington Rylands during their back-to-back promotions and FA Vase win.
Scarisbrick started last season at Bootle before joining Marine in November, he re-joined Bootle in the summer of 2023, he’s made nine appearances and scored three goals this season.
Charlie Doyle has also joined the club, the 27-year-old midfielder also played under McNabb during the successful spell at Warrington Rylands.
Born in Salford he started his youth career at Bury, before moving onto FC United of Manchester & Irlam.
He signed for Warrington Rylands in the summer of 2020, where he was named Player of the Year in the 2021/22 season.
Doyle gained some minutes under Andy Welsh at Bury AFC last season on loan from Warrington Rylands, after recovering from a long-term injury that ruled him out for 10 months.
Following his time at Bury, he joined Avro and then Stalybridge Celtic over the summer before joining Bootle in mid-August where he’s made six appearances.
Both players are available for selection immediately.
