The final home game of the season will once again serve as our dedicated Memorial Match – a moment of reflection, unity, and remembrance for the Bury FC family.
On this special day, we will come together to honour and celebrate the lives of fellow Shakers who are no longer with us, with particular tribute paid to those who have passed over the past year. Their passion, loyalty, and presence remain an enduring part of our club’s story.
If you are aware of any supporters who have sadly passed away since May 2025, please contact shakersobituaries@gmail.com so we can ensure they are included in this year’s remembrance (those already featured in the matchday programme will automatically be included).
As part of the tribute, a commemorative wreath will be laid ahead of kick-off – a poignant symbol of respect and remembrance. Following the match, it will be placed in the memorial garden, where it will stand as a lasting tribute.
Last season, supporters generously funded the wreath, with additional donations going to a wonderful cause. This year, thanks to the kindness of Bernadette Gibson Funeral Director – one of our valued sponsors – the cost of the wreath has been fully covered. This means that every penny donated by fans will go directly to Bury Hospice, in loving memory of the Shakers we have lost.
We will also take a moment to remember those connected with our opponents that day, Witton Albion, as we come together on Saturday 18th April in a shared show of respect.

Together, we remember. Together, we honour. Once a Shaker, always a Shaker.
