It wouldn’t be surprising if Longridge Town come to Gigg Lane fired up with determination to take revenge for the 5-1 defeat we inflicted on them last month, when they visit Gigg Lane this weekend.   It was a score that perhaps flattered the Shakers back in October, conceding three penalties in the game but after overcoming that storm and Mitch Allen saving two of the penalties, the result was empthatic in the end. We go again this weekend after picking up four points since last Saturday, with a win at home against West Didsbury & Chorlton and a point on the road at Wythenshawe in midweek, following a late penalty. The Anfield area of Liverpool is nestled in football history and that’s where we head on Saturday. Andy Welsh’s side face Lower Breck, who played just under a mile away from the home of Liverpool. Will it ever stop raining? It seems like it hasn’t stopped for months, doesn’t it?
