We have to bounce back from Tuesday night’s disappointing draw at Irlam, and especially because a win would take us to the top of the table. That’s why we need our fans to come out in numbers to get Gigg Lane bouncing! We are currently third – two points behind Chadderton on top and one behind Ramsbottom United in second. Neither has a league game this weekend, so…Up the Shakers – to the top!!! The ups and downs of recent results have been frustrating for everyone, but

Hopes were high for a match against St Helens that could have sent the Shakers like a rocket into second position in the league. But, despite the impressive fireworks display in the air around Gigg Lane and plenty of cracking chances for both sides going begging, the Bonfire Night game ended with honours even. Nevertheless, the 1-1 scoreline in a tough game against resolute opponents stretches our unbeaten record to 18 and moves us up into third place. Highlights and post match media is ava

Wow! Bury go into their FA Cup preliminary round match at Avro on Saturday with confidence sky high after a thumping 7-1 league victory at Abbey Hey on Tuesday. The Shakers needed a good performance after the tame home draw against Irlam at Gigg Lane last weekend. And they lived up to their nickname with six goals in an amazing second half. The goal-fest began with a rapid-fire hat-trick in 10 minutes from Reuben Jerome, followed by goals Rustam Stepan (71), Cameron Fogarty (80

We don’t have long to recover from that almost last gasp home win on Saturday. Come Wednesday evening it’s off to Avro FC’s Vestacare Stadium in Oldham for our second NPL match. Newcastle Town gave us a thorough examination, and we passed. Although we won by only one goal, there could – and arguably should – have been others. It will be a different story at Avro. Their tactical approach will be to attack rather than defend. But we can have every confidence in our back line, which per

As 2026 started perfectly for us, we return to Gigg Lane as we take on Avro. Our game on Saturday against Shifnal Town was postponed due to a frozen pitch, resulting from low temperatures across the country in the lead-up to the game. On New Year’s Day, the Shakers picked up a 6-2 win against Stalybridge Celtic. A wonder strike of a free-kick from Kai Evans made up one goal of his hat-trick. Debutant Lewis Rawsthorn got off the mark, as well as Owen Robinson & Leo Graham, also on the score
