  • Plans for Behind Closed Door Games

As our update earlier in the week, we are to play our next two home games behind closed doors. Supporters will not be allowed into Gigg Lane for the following two fixtures:

    • Barnoldswick Town – Tues 12th March, 7.45pm KO
    • Charnock Richard – Sat 16th March, 12.30pm KO*

Thankfully, we have agreement from both Charnock and the league to bring forward the kick-off time next Saturday to 12.30pm*. This is to allow the game to be broadcast via live stream and not co-incide with the ‘blocked hours’ ruling, which prevents viewing within the UK of 3pm kick-offs on a Saturday afternoon. More on this further down the page.

Further to the above, we have had to make the following preparations for this game and wish to inform supporters of the necessary plans with the update below.

Who is allowed inside Gigg Lane?

The ground will be not be open to supporters, and controls will be set up to prevent all but those allowed to enter the ground on each match day.

This will include all players, staff and officials for each club alongside working volunteers who carry out necessary roles in ensuring the game can function as normal. This information will be gathered in the lead up to the games from both within the club and the visiting sides.

There will therefore be representatives from both clubs allowed to carry out their roles across club administration, ground staff, team and kit staff, press representatives and club media officials alongside photographers and camera operatives.

The car park will be closed to all those who are not on the accepted lists will not be allowed entry under any circumstances. Security operatives will be assisting on the entrance to the car park, as well as around the ground, to ensure we control access to Gigg Lane at all times.

    Tickets / Programmes

It is our intention to offer refunds for all pre-purchased tickets for either game. We are working on a solution for reimbursing season ticket holders and will communicate this to follow.

If you have any queries relating to tickets, please contact the club via email – tickets@buryfc.co.uk

A programme will be available to purchase for pick-up at Gigg Lane after the completion of the behind closed doors fixtures. These will be £3 (plus Ticketco fee) each and available to buy only online. Head to buryfc.co.uk/tickets to buy yours.

Access to the Live Stream Broadcast

The live stream of both games will be available FREE OF CHARGE on the website (buryfc.co.uk), on our YouTube channel and across our Facebook page. The direct links will be communicated ahead of the games, but you won’t miss a moment of the action.

    Donations to the Club

Supporters have asked about options to make financial contributions back to the club. We are working on providing an online payment mechanism and more details on this will follow.
