With just a week until the competitive season gets underway, we travel to Radcliffe for the first of our final two pre-season fixtures.
The tie pays tribute to late Radcliffe Chairman Paul Hilton who passed away suddenly at the end of September, a week before the two sides met in the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.
His passing left a lasting impact on everyone at Radcliffe, following the loss of a man who dedicated the last eight years of his life to the vast improvement and success of the football club, the community, and the town.
A minute’s applause will take place for Paul ahead of kick-off.
Radcliffe will offer a tough test, going into their second season in the National League North.
We come off the back of a 9-3 win against Cheadle Town on Tuesday night, highlights and reaction below:
In Opposition – Radcliffe

Just three miles separates Gigg Lane from the Neuven Stadium, and a pre-season fixture between the two sides has been in this history books for years gone by.
Radcliffe are heading into their second season in the National League North after promotion from the NPL.
Last season, the two clubs met in the FA Cup, with the Shakers coming out on top. We caught up with joint-manager Anthony ‘Jonno’ Johnson on our Playing Away series, which you can watch below:
