Bury blitzed past Litherland REMYCA with a 7-0 victory defender Bebeto Gomes spoke to the club to give us his thoughts on the game
Bebeto Gomes: “I thought we came in quite strong, set the tone for minute one, went 5-0 at half-time. Yeah, the second half, we just saw it through. Going in 5-0 at half-time, that only comes around every so often in football, it doesn’t happen every week.”
He then spoke about what the message was at half time with him saying “Just to come back with the same energy, the same energy, the same principles and keep pushing. Eventually, we get more goals. We were hoping for double digits, but it didn’t happen, but the 7-0 is still good.”
Bebeto then spoke about what its like playing in his new role “Obviously, I like attacking, I love attacking but first defending and then attacking after. I love defending now.”
He then spoke about whether it’s annoying to not get on the score sheet today, he said: “Most definitely. I was hoping for a goal or two, but hey, I take that one assist.” Bebeto then looked ahead to next weeks game with him saying “Yes, of course, keep the momentum going, for sure. Keep stacking the wins, taking them off, seven to go, right?”
