Bury have extended their unbeaten streak to 21 matches after a dominant display against Longbridge Town today’s Player Of The Match Lewis Earl gave us his thoughts on the game when speaking to the club.

Lewis Earl: “I thought it was a confident performance, and I thought we did everything right we were clinical in front of goal and solid at the back. Off the ball we were unbelievable, and it was the kind of performance we needed really after a couple of games where we’ve been good in halves and good in spells it was good to get a solid performance and blow someone away.”

He then spoke about whether today’s performance, really shows what this club is about saying “Yeah definitely, we spoke about that at the end of the game obviously as I say the first half on Tuesday night here wasn’t good enough, but we’ve shown today that were a team that’s good enough to do it and we need to be doing it more often instead of scraping through games and we can do stuff like that but we’ve got to be doing that all the time.”

Lewis then spoke about whether the issue of not starting fast enough in previous games is something that will be left in the past he said “Hopefully, that’s all we can say but we’ve got to look towards the next game if it’s something and it’s nothing were doing consciously it’s something that just kind of happens, but we need to get that out and we know that we need to start faster we’ve talked about it a lot that we need to start imposing ourself on games.”

To finish the interview Lewis looked forward to our upcoming run of away games and whether today’s performance was important heading into this run.

Lewis Earl: “Yeah definitely, we talk with the lads as well about how away games always feel like home games with the number of fans we bring as well, the fans are unbelievable, so it really helps but yeah a result like this helps with tough fixtures coming up.”
