We are delighted to announce the signing of Reece Kendall, marking his return to Gigg Lane for a second spell.
The 26-year-old joins us from Cleethorpes Town, having signed for them after leaving Bury in the summer.
Reece made nine appearances for us last season before unfortunately suffering an injury in the penultimate game of the campaign against Cheadle Town at FC United of Manchester. He originally joined the club from Matlock Town in February 2025. His career began at Brighouse Town, and he has also represented Spennymoor Town and Guiseley.
Reece was named in the NPL Premier Division Team of the Season two years ago during his time at Guiseley and has also earned international recognition with a call-up to the England C squad.

“I was gutted in the summer when Reece said he was having to move on due to relocating. As soon as we were made aware of his availability, it was a no-brainer. Reece was a key part of our brilliant run of form—winning 15 on the bounce with 9 consecutive clean sheets. He had very minor surgery in the summer and is now looking to get back to the levels that saw him earn an England C call-up.”
Reece added:
“I’m excited to be back, to get out there in front of all the fans, and to give my all for the club.”
