Bury FC values the incredible passion and loyalty of our supporters, whose backing makes Gigg Lane a very special place on matchdays. However, we are concerned by the behaviour of a very small minority whose actions, particularly the throwing of drinks, have caused disruption, safety risks and distress to fellow fans.
This behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. It undermines the hard work of the club, the enjoyment of supporters and the reputation of Bury FC. Anyone found responsible for throwing objects or engaging in antisocial behaviour will face appropriate action, including removal from the ground and further sanctions.
As a reminder, previous sanctions have already included the prohibition of alcohol and the early closure of bars on matchdays. We will continue to closely monitor behaviour and alcohol consumption in specific sections of the stadium, and if the situation does not improve, further restrictions will be introduced without hesitation.
We ask all fans to take pride in representing our club positively, ensuring Gigg Lane remains a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for everyone.
