  • Too Big For Your Boots?

Bury Football Club is proud to support this initiative, along with our friends at the FGRS Community Hub to help grassroots and school sports.

We will be collecting pre loved football boots, trainers and astro boots in useable condition at our home game against AFC Liverpool on Saturday 6th April.

These will then be distributed to local schools and grass roots clubs for children and families who need them. If you are unable to bring them to the game, the FGRS Community Hub (also based at Gigg Lane) will be collecting donations from the 8th April until Friday 19th April. The Hub’s opening hours are Monday 12.30-2.30pm, and Wednesday and Friday 9.30am-2.30pm.

Your preloved boots and trainers could make a huge difference to children and young people as they are often a big expense to families. Both Bury FC and FGRS Community Hub firmly believe that nobody should be prevented from taking part in sport for want of the right footwear. It also helps us do our bit for the environment by keeping the boots out of landfill when they could be out to good use.

Our squads across the whole club have been taking part by enthusiastically collecting with the Men’s and Women’s First Teams, Under 23s, Women’s Reserves, Women’s and Men’s Recreational and Development, Futsol and U12s all organising their own collections.

A real club and community effort! We look forward to receiving your boot donations in a couple of weeks.
