  • Travel Advice: Isle of Man

Ahead of our trip to the Isle of Man this weekend, please see below our initial guidance note for supporters wishing to get the most out of their time on the island around our game against FC Isle of Man on Saturday evening.

    Travel to IoM

Supporters will be traveling via ferry direct to Douglas, or via flight into Ronaldsway Airport. The airport is situated in the south part of the island, around 9 miles along the A5 from Douglas by car.

Head to the Isle of Man Government page for general information on the visiting the island, as well as following guidance from your travel operator on documentation required to travel and on entry to the Isle of Man.

For more information on what to see and do whilst on the island, please head to the Visit Isle of Man page.

FC Isle of Man play their home games at the The Bowl, a 3,500 all-seater multi-purpose sports ground which was redeveloped suitable to hold the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games.

The game will be played on an artifical surface and tickets for the game are to be purchased ahead of the game from the FC Isle of Man website.

Hospitality tickets are also available for £45, with full details on the left.

Home and visiting supporters will be segregated into two separate areas within the Bowl. Bury fans are directed to Gate B at the north end of the ground as indicated on the image to the right.

Food / drink kiosks will be available, but alcohol will NOT be available inside the ground and is not permitted to be brought into the stadium.

Stewards will be on hand at all times to advise on your needs, please abide by their requests and cooperate with staff at all times.

    Getting to The Bowl

    bus-1024x407.jpg

The Bowl is situated around a mile outside Douglus centre.

This will be a walkable distance for most who will base themselves in Douglas for the trip, but for those who require public transport head to the Isle of Man Transport page for timetables of bus running services from Bus Vannin.

Pick up a service to Peel (normally services 5 or 6) at Lord Street in Douglas when heading to The Bowl. Access to the timetables can be found here.

    Island Customs

We have been passed advice from the local police in Douglas to inform supporters on customs on the island ahead of our trip to the Isle of Man this weekend.

Laws on the island are different to those in the UK and the local police’s tolerance to public disorder is lower than that in the UK. Abiding to police instruction at all times is necessary. Arrests will be made where deemed necessary, and this will lead to summons in court.

We wish supporters a great time on the island during your visit, but please be aware at all times about the point above. We wish to leave a positive lasting impression on the island, and request and appreciate your cooperation in doing so.

Get behind Dave McNabb and the lads, they need you to bring home the points!
