Louis White remains in hospital but is doing well and is in good spirits.
Initial test results have ruled out a heart attack, although doctors have identified an issue relating to the heart muscle.
He will undergo further tests over the coming days to establish exactly what the issue is and the next steps in his recovery.
Naturally, football takes a back seat and Louis is expected to be unavailable for selection for a period of time while he recovers.
We know many supporters have been asking after him and we’re sure everyone associated with Bury FC will join us in wishing Louis well.
