Bury Football Club, a historic and ambitious non-league club with a passionate supporter base and strong community values, is inviting applications for the role of Club Secretary.

This is a crucial position within the club, responsible for ensuring that all football administration is handled professionally and efficiently, in line with FA and league requirements. As we continue to rebuild and progress on and off the pitch, this role offers a unique opportunity to be part of something truly special at Gigg Lane.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the football and club operations team where required

  • Act as the main point of contact with the league, FA, and other governing bodies

  • Oversee all player registrations, transfers, and contract documentation

  • Work with the matchday secretary and other key officials on match administration including official paperwork, team sheets, and referee liaison

  • Ensure all compliance deadlines are met throughout the season

  • Maintain accurate records including minutes, correspondence, and key club documentation

The Ideal Candidate (desirable, not essential) :

  • Well-organised with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and work independently

  • Familiar with FA Full-Time, Whole Game System and other relevant platforms (training can be provided)

  • Flexible to attend matchdays, meetings, and events, often outside of standard hours

  • Passion for football and an understanding of the non-league landscape
