Volunteer Opportunity: Business Process Developer

Are you someone who enjoys making things work better?

Bury Football Club is looking for a Volunteer Business Process Developer (potentially 2 positions) to help us review how we do things across the club and identify ways to make our processes clearer, simpler, and more effective.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference behind the scenes at a member-owned football club. You will help us look at current ways of working, speak to the people involved, and support practical improvements that save time, reduce duplication, and help the club run smoothly.

You will be working with board members, tower leads, and fellow volunteers across different areas of the club. This may include administration, matchday operations, supporter experience, communications, commercial activity, and wider club processes.

What we’re looking for

  • Someone with experience of developing, reviewing or improving processes, workflows, or ways of working.
  • A good listener who can work with people across the club and understand how things operate in practice.
  • A practical thinker who can spot opportunities to simplify and improve.
  • Someone who can create clear documents, guides, templates, and simple systems that help others.
  • Good communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
  • A positive team approach and an understanding of what makes a member-owned club special.
  • Time to offer one or two days per week 8 to 16 hours.
  • Location can be flexible, remote working via Teams acceptable.

What you’ll gain

  • A chance to have a real impact on how the club works.
  • The opportunity to apply your skills in a meaningful and visible way.
  • A place in a committed and welcoming volunteer community.
  • The satisfaction that comes from giving something back to our club.
