We are able to confirm the signing of versatile defender Eoin Charles from Droylsden, subject to NWCFL approval.
The 22-year-old came through the ranks at Irlam during the COVID pandemic, before moving to Broadheath Central and then onto Droylsden in the summer.
Charles has made 22 appearances, and scored four goals including on his league debut against Euxton Villa.
He can play at both right back and centre back so will fit into Dave McNabb’s flexible defensive structure well.
Eoin’s brothers Shea and Pearce, both play at Sheffield Wednesday and have received international calls-ups from Northern Ireland.
Upon signing for the club, Eoin said: “I’m really excited to be joining Bury, it’s a new start and a new challenge for me personally.
“I’m looking forward to joining the lads, meeting the fans and helping to do my bit towards the team’s goals for the rest of the season.”
Manager, Dave McNabb added: “Eoin is a versatile defender who’s a very exciting talent. A Rolls Royce type defender who is very talented on the ball and has real defensive instincts.
“He comes from a family of high performers with his two brothers being full internationals and Eoin no doubt has the potential to play much higher.”
