Bury Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of centre forward Joe Piggott, who joins the Shakers following his release from Atherton Collieries!
Joe arrives hungry, hardworking, and ready to lead the line. A powerful presence up top with an eye for goal, he brings energy, movement, and a real desire to make an impact in white and blue.
The 6’0” centre forward begin his football journey with Everton and Rochdale before turning professional with Dundee United, before a short spell with Warrington Town earned him a move to then EFL Championship club Wigan Athletic.
Spells at Altrincham and Fylde followed, as well as stints in the Northern Premier League with Radcliffe, Warrington Rylands, and Nantwich Town.
After a year in Australia with Victoria Premier League side Pascoe Vale, Piggott returned to England and the Northern Premier League West with Atherton Collieries, and the 26-year-old featured for Colls in the 0-0 draw at Gigg Lane in November.
Joe will go straight into contention for Saturday’s away fixture at Stafford Rangers.
