We are delighted to confirm the signing of Lewis Rawsthorn from Radcliffe on a permanent deal, further strengthening our attacking options.

Lewis joined Radcliffe in September 2023 from Atherton LR following an outstanding season in front of goal, scoring over 30 times in the North West Counties League.

During his time at Radcliffe, Lewis made a handful of senior appearances, scoring once, and continued his development through loan spells with FC United of Manchester, Stalybridge Celtic and most recently Hyde United. While at Hyde, the young striker found the net seven times in 24 appearances.

Upon joining the club, Lewis said: “It’s an immensely proud moment for me to sign for Bury FC. I have family members who support the club and being a local lad i know what the club means to the community. I’m really exited and can’t wait to get out there and hopefully we can achieve the goals we have set out for the remainder of the season. Up the Shakers.”

Manager, Tim Lees added: “Really pleased to get Lewis over the line. He has scored goals at various levels now, has an excellent work rate and will fit perfectly into how we play. He will be a great addition for us.”

We are pleased to welcome Lewis to Gigg Lane and look forward to working with him as he continues his progression in a Bury shirt.
