  27. We can confirm that forward Tyler James has joined Padiham on loan. Tyler will use this loan spell at the club he joined us from to gain some game time. He will be available for their fixture tomorrow. He said: “I’m going out on loan to Padiham to get some game time and build my match fitness. I know that with a bit of confidence and a few goals, I’ll be right back to my best. If I got that chance right now, I don’t think I’d show you what I’m truly capable of. “This chapter isn’t over. I’ll see you all in blue and white again soon. Thank you all for how you’ve taken me in and made me feel so welcome. For now, it’s just a short goodbye — I’ll be back soon, better than ever.” We’ll keep you updated on Tyler’s progress throughout his time at Padiham. View the full article

  29. We’re top of the table and after seven successive league victories seem to be establishing a winning habit. That 7-0 hammering when we fielded a team of under-21s in the Isuzu FA Trophy was our last defeat. And we haven’t lost a league game since the end of August. It’s not only the results or the scorelines that give us confidence but the way we’re playing. In two successive matches – one against the team then top of the league – we’ve scored four goals in the first half-hour. It helped that all four games in September were at home. But the rest of October will be a challenge, because we don’t return to Gigg Lane until November 1. The trip to Sporting Khalsa will be a good test for us. We’ll go there ready to give our all, knowing that in football, nothing’s ever guaranteed. The lads will really appreciate all the support from those making the journey to the West Midlands, your energy and noise make a huge difference. Let’s get behind them and show what we’re about. Up the Shakers! In Opposition – Sporting Khalsa Khalsa are in 17th place, with just 11 points from 13 games. They were robbed of a much-needed victory late in their 1-1 draw at Kidsgrove Athletic on Tuesday, and will take heart from that performance. And in any case they’ll be as determined as every team we face to put one over on us. The club was founded by the local Sikh community in 1991, and in 2010 became the first Sikh-owned football club in Britain to buy a ground. It took over the Aspray Arena from Banks’s Brewery, and has since made major improvements. The club runs a wide range of teams, and hosts a wide range of community activities. Admission & TicketsSporting Khalsa are not making this match an all-ticket fixture; however have strongly advised all supporters to purchase tickets in advance via our website to ease congestion on our turnstiles and to make entry much quicker. The capacity of the stadium is in excess of 3,000. Click here to purchase a ticket. Travel & ParkingAddress: Guardian Warehousing Arena, Noose Lane, Willenahll, WV13 3BB Travel Information: If travelling by car, please be aware that the club car park will be extremely busy on this day, so please park in the residential areas nearby and make the short walk to the stadium.
